AI. under the auspices of the Lexington Parent- Teacher’s Association. Although the audience was comparatively small, the Trio expressed after the program, that they had never played before a more appreciative audience in their entire career. Some have expressed the view that the program was a failure owing to the fact that there was not more than half the audience expected, but we are en- clined to take a different view of the matter, and say that such high class art cannot be estimated in dol lars and cents. We feel that the E "T. A. has done a great sacrificial service in bringing to the Lexington lieople a program of such high char acter and unquestionable art. The Zimmer Harp Trio is worthy of the patronage of the most exclusive music lovers of any city in the -state, and wo are mighty glad that our E--T. A. brought them to our school. .1. E. ALLEN. On Tuesday, A’ovember ISth, the Letter men of the high school foot ball squad were entertained by the Rotary Club at the Alarch Hotel. A very interesting ])rogram was carried out. Speeches were made by Coach Robbins, Mr. Stokes, and Mr. Wade I’hillips. During the meeting Cloyd Philpott presented Coach Robbins with $10. in gold, as a gift of appre ciation from the Football Boys. Mr. Phillips, on behalf of the town and Rotary Club, thanked the team and coach Robbins: not for their victories during the season, but for their clean play and fine spirit shown at all times. Everyone had a fine time and hope to be present next year at the banquet, which the club gives annually to the team. Those present other than members were: Varner Sink, Nat Hunt Cloyd Philpott, Sam Eanes, Capt. Alolly Anderson, Bob Raker, Gene A’oung, Beufort Aliller, Wood Dor- sett, Paul Hutchins, Dick Cecil, Rolit. Chetty, Joe Aloffltt, Odel Vestal, Dave Conrad, T. D. Stokes, “Roz” Robbins. “Well,” Said Russell, as ho poured water in the cash register. “This is sure going to run into money.” THE CL.VSS OF ’26 ORGANIZES The Junior class met in the audi torium Thursday, November 13, for the purpose of organizing and elect ing officers for the coming year. AVTth this capable set of officers, the ■Tunior class looks forward to great achievements this year. Next year "ith a capable set of officers, equal to these, the members of this cla.ss hope to reach the goal that has been ■set for them. When this has happen ed. they can look back uponitheir >e.ars in High School as their best da.vs. They will rejoice at the thought of graduation and at the thought that they have accomplished at last the thing th.at they set out to do Sej>tem- I'cr 4, 1922.
